January 12, 2026 Construction Update

Concrete work on the dam is complete. The portadam and flow-bypass were removed in December and most work on the site has ceased for the winter. Some work on the metal grating on the dam is scheduled to occur in early January, however most of the construction crew have demobilized for the winter. Installation of the new pedestrian bridge has been postponed until late January, February, or March. The schedule for the bridge installation will be posted when available and will require a one-day closure of Huguenot Road. A Traffic Management Plan identifying a temporary detour is currently under preparation and will be posted when available.
