July 7, 2025 Construction Update

TFord has continued work to demolish the exiting dam infrastructure and pour concrete for new training walls, spillway, and footings. The ongoing concrete work has required periodic concrete trucks/deliveries, which will be ongoing throughout July and has resulted in increased vehicular activity on Huguenot Road. Due to new bathymetry information, TFord identified the need for temporary placement of stone fill below a Portadam to be placed in Lowes Pond upstream of the dam, as well as modifications to the originally envisioned water control approach. Permit modifications from MassDEP and the US Army Corps of Engineers to authorize these changes were recently acquired.
