June 6, 2025 Construction Update

Sediment excavation upstream of the existing spillway has been delayed due to issues associated with installation of the upstream Portadam structure, which is currently scheduled for mid-July. TFord is currently using the existing sluiceway on the western bank of the discharge channel to passively by-pass water around active work areas. Demolition of the spillway and eastern training wall is underway, with new concrete installation in these areas scheduled for mid-June through mid-July. Some rock excavation is also underway, which may result in elevated noise levels.
